Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in acute/critical care settings during night shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning
- Adhere to JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana RN license (required)
- BSN preferred; associate degree with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- 1+ years acute care or ICU experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility for rotating weekends and holidays
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
