Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Operate advanced surgical equipment (e.g., endoscopic cameras, robotic systems)
- Inventory and manage surgical supply inventory
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (maintained)
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/AST)
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with manual dexterity
- Experience with laparoscopic/endoscopic equipment
- Texas state license or eligible
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
