Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for accurate billing
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through appeals and follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Analyze account aging and implement collection strategies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
- Utilize EHR systems and billing software for efficient operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement methodologies
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
