Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Manage surgical equipment sterilization and inventory control systems
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless surgical workflows
- Adhere to OSHA and JCAHO safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures across specialties
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
