Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments following strict protocols
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage inventory and restock supplies between procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of scrub tech experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
