Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and supplies to ensure a sterile environment.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure zero loss during surgery.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical data during procedures.
- Handle specimens for lab analysis and prepare patient charts.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite safely.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital safety and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Active Arizona State Surgical Technologist license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
