Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using standardized protocols
- Provide expert medical advice via phone, email, and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek emergency care
- Monitor patient flow and optimize department efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency/urgent care
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must maintain)
- Excellent triage assessment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work high-pressure shifts with flexibility
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
