Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Collaborate with ER physicians and specialists to coordinate immediate interventions
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding next steps
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work under pressure in high-volume settings
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
