Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine urgency and prioritize emergency cases
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone and telehealth triage systems
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precision and timeliness
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek further treatment
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions using clinical judgment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certification (required) and TNCC preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Excellent communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume situations
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
