Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Prioritize incoming ER patients based on acuity and medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for seamless care transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide compassionate care to patients and families during critical moments
- Oversee triage station operations and resource allocation
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure environments
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
