Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI protocols to determine acuity levels
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for timely patient disposition
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed triage documentation
- Provide critical patient education and discharge instructions
- Oversee clinical workflows during peak hours to optimize efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX) with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in ESI triage scale and emergency protocols
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- EMR/EHR experience with Epic or Cerner systems
- Spanish bilingual preferred for diverse patient population
