Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide accurate clinical guidance to patients via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) documentation and compliance standards
- Delicate crisis intervention for high-acuity cases while maintaining composure
- Train and mentor new nursing staff on triage procedures and department protocols
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 3 years emergency/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (TNCC preferred)
- Expertise in rapid patient assessment and EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stress interactions
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
