Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone or in-person to determine the acuity level of care required.
- Coordinate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Evaluate incoming medical requests and triage them to the appropriate department or specialist.
- Document patient interactions and medical histories accurately and efficiently in the EMR system.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Manage high-volume call volumes while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
