Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and priority of care
- Provide clear telephone triage guidance to patients experiencing acute or chronic health concerns
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA protocols
- Oversee patient intake process in high-volume emergency department setting
- Implement triage protocols for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license (unrestricted)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN with equivalent experience considered)
- Expertise in rapid assessment and critical decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills in high-stress environments
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
