Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity levels via telephone triage in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document patient interactions and clinical assessments accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear, compassionate health education to patients and families
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions during triage process
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations
- BSN preferred or equivalent experience
