Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity via phone triage and prioritize emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide education to patients/families regarding home care instructions
- Coordinate patient flow between emergency services and specialty departments
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license with minimum 2 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven ability to perform rapid patient assessments
- Strong knowledge of emergency protocols and critical care pathways
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EHR)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
