Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital sign assessments and patient screenings accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with procedures and examinations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Update and maintain patient medical records and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and manage check-in/check-out processes.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EHR software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
