Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) to elderly residents
- Monitor and document vital signs, dietary intake, and behavioral changes
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and restorative therapy programs
- Administer medications as per physician orders and facility protocols
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and infection control standards
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or geriatric settings
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform lifting/transfers (up to 50 lbs)
- Flexibility to work weekends (Sat/Sun) with potential holiday coverage
- Clear TB test and background check
