Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not required for high-potential candidates.
