Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Safety & Comfort: Implement safety protocols to prevent falls and ensure a comfortable living environment for all residents.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with nurses and healthcare team members to update care plans and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Monitor food and fluid intake and assist with meal times to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA License: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of California.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and professional demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull residents weighing up to 250 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping the elderly and individuals with special needs.
