Job Summary
As a Weekend CNA, you will be the eyes and ears of our nursing team, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of life support during your shift. You will work closely with our medical staff to create a healing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms accurately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals while monitoring dietary restrictions.
- Communicate patient status changes to RNs and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA Certification in the District of Columbia.
- CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-first attitude.
- Reliable transportation to the Washington DC location.
