Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document resident observations accurately
- Assist with meal service and ensure proper nutrition/hydration
- Administer medications under RN supervision per facility protocols
- Transport residents safely within the facility using proper equipment
- Maintain clean and sanitized resident environments
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or geriatric setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills with seniors and families
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with potential holidays
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
