Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care delivery
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection control protocols
- Assist with meal service and nutritional monitoring as needed
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and team huddles
Qualifications
- Current Indiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care or hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate approach with commitment to patient dignity
- Availability to work every weekend (Sat/Sun) with holiday flexibility
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
