Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with medication administration and documentation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff and medical team immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and incidents accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Valid identification and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
