What You Will Do:
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, height, weight, and patient history.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as directed.
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proven ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Proficient in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
