Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, as directed by nursing staff.
- Document Care: Maintain thorough and timely documentation of patient status, care provided, and any changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Safe Mobility Support: Utilize transfer equipment and proper body mechanics to safely move and position patients throughout the shift.
- Communication: Act as a vital communication link between patients, families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patients' living spaces are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license issued by the State of Missouri.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods as needed.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
