As a Weekend CNA, you will be an integral part of our patient care team, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and comfort for our residents and patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to address concerns and update care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure safety and satisfaction.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Virginia required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
