Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
  • Assist in moving patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient status and needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the scope of your certification.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Nebraska.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care facility preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; physical stamina required.
  • Reliable and punctual with a commitment to weekend availability.
