Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report changes in patients' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to strict infection control and sanitation protocols.
- Document Care: Accurately record vital signs and patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Illinois CNA license (or compact state license eligible for IL).
- Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
