Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable CNA to assist our patients with daily living activities, monitor their health, and provide emotional support during their stay. This role focuses on weekend coverage, offering a great work-life balance for those who prefer fewer workdays.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure patients are clean and well-groomed, and assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely from bed to wheelchair or walking, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities, changes in condition, and any incidents in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, patients, and families to ensure holistic care.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active North Carolina CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- Training: Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
