Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, and treatment interventions during night shift hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Monitor critical patients using advanced telemetry systems and emergency response protocols
- Document clinical observations and patient progress with precision in electronic health records
- Mentor junior staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Coordinate discharge planning and transition of care with day shift teams
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state) with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in Med/Surg or ICU setting
- BLS/ACLS certification required; TNCC preferred
- Proven expertise in critical care nursing and emergency response protocols
- Excellent documentation skills and proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Flexibility to work rotating nights and adapt to changing patient acuity
- BSN degree strongly preferred; ADN candidates with relevant experience considered
