Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure the highest level of patient comfort and dignity.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and mobility support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure a safe and responsive care environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Kansas CNA (STNA) license required.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with residents and families.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is preferred but not always required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
