Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure the highest level of patient comfort and dignity.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and mobility support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure a safe and responsive care environment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Kansas CNA (STNA) license required.
  • CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with residents and families.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is preferred but not always required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
