Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the RN or Charge Nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the licensed nurse.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Kansas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to excellence.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
