Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) accurately.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to established dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Communicate changes in resident conditions, behavioral changes, or emergencies to the charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA License (required).
- CPR and BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer residents up to 250 pounds with assistance.
