Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers during patient examinations, take vitals, and perform basic physical assessments.
- Procedures: Administer injections, perform venipuncture/phlebotomy, and operate EKG equipment.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, handle patient intake, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients to explain procedures and educate them on health maintenance.
- Environment: Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Weekend Availability: Must be willing and able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Licensing: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required.
- Skills: Proficient in phlebotomy, EKG, and EMR/EHR software.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate bedside manner.
