Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical visits.
- Accurately record patient vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and venipuncture as directed.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized examination room environment.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and holidays as scheduled.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
