Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and update medical records accurately.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patient blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Rooming & Exam Assistance: Prepare examination rooms, assist providers with patient exams, and document findings.
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Perform blood draws and collect specimens for laboratory analysis following strict protocols.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, process insurance authorizations, and manage patient correspondence.
- Medication Management: Assist in medication reconciliation and prepare medications under provider supervision.
- Health Education: Provide patients with education on medications, diet, and wellness tips.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification (or equivalent).
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Professionalism: Strong patient service orientation and adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
