Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and updating patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Assist providers during patient visits, including preparing instruments, performing phlebotomy, and conducting basic EKGs.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and urine analysis according to established protocols.
  • Manage front desk duties during peak weekend hours, including patient check-in, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment while adhering to strict infection control and HIPAA regulations.
  • Handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician office or urgent care setting.
