Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history assessments with precision and empathy.
- Assist physicians and providers during weekend rounds and clinical procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage medical supplies efficiently.
- Administer medications, injections, and perform basic phlebotomy as directed.
- Handle electronic health records (EHR) updates and maintain accurate documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with patients and families.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, specifically weekend availability.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
