Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient intake, and health histories.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and injections.
- Prepare and administer medications according to strict protocols.
- Coordinate specimen collection and laboratory testing.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Handle insurance verification and patient scheduling efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
- Experience with phlebotomy and EKG procedures preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
