Responsibilities

  • Perform Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist Providers: Support physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
  • Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis with precision and care.
  • Administer Medications: Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, adhering to safety protocols.
  • EHR Management: Update Electronic Health Records (Epic/Cerner) with patient information, insurance details, and visit notes.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative care strategies.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
