Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in our cardiovascular ICU unit during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform patient assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor new staff during weekend rotations
- Participate in weekend shift huddles and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree (preferred) with active BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or telemetry experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday 12-hour shifts)
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
