Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to develop individualized nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments while strictly monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating advanced life support skills and clinical judgment.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, colleagues, and support staff to ensure coordinated and seamless patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patient rights and comfort, ensuring a safe and healing environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Schedule Commitment: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Communication Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
