Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure patient needs are met
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and equipment
- Support patient independence while respecting dignity and preferences
- Participate in shift handovers and care planning discussions
Qualifications
- Active New York State CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (6AM-6PM or 7AM-7PM)
- Passion for geriatric or specialized patient populations
