Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Support meal service and ensure proper nutrition/hydration
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of long-term care experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Compassionate approach with geriatric patients
- Flexibility to work every weekend (Sat/Sun) plus one weekday
- Pass background check and drug screening
