Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ICU/ED units during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and response to interventions
- Document clinical findings in Epic EHR systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment
- Mentor new staff during weekend rotations
- Participate in weekend shift quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license with current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU/ED experience preferred
- Weekend shift availability required (Sat-Sun 7am-7pm)
- Epic EHR proficiency or comparable system experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- BSN degree or enrollment in BSN program
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 12-hour shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
