Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs accurately
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
- Administer anesthesia injections and post-operative care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ordering
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program or X-ray certification
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Valid Illinois Dental Assistant license
- Experience with digital radiography systems
