Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and operatory setups
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient flow, sterilization protocols, and inventory control
- Deliver post-procedure instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and chairside charting
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and dental software (Epic, Dentrix)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and patient rapport abilities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with precise attention to detail
- Availability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
