Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and document procedural information
- Manage surgical inventory and restock supplies post-procedure
- Adhere to strict OSHA and AORN safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in acute care setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- Miami-Dade County surgical tech license preferred
