Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce strict infection control protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/during/after procedures
- Transport patients to/from surgical suites and monitor vital signs
- Stock operating rooms and sterile processing areas efficiently
- Document procedures accurately using electronic health records systems
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience preferred
- Graduation from accredited Surgical Technology program
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
